PMO 2010 Spring Concert

Pittsburgh, PA, March 13
[Insert a brief story about the concert here.]

Carlo Aonzo Workshop, March 14
A display of mandolin family instruments from different time periods was set up on long tables so that we could all examine these bea utiful historic instraments. Carlo Anzo lectured about the history of the mandolin and demonstrated seve ral valuable techniques for improving participants playing skills. Many of the Pittsburgh mandolin orchestra members participated in this workshop. We were joined by some members of the Dayton Mandolin Orchestra. Several interested music lovers from around the area also attended. It was, of course, a rare pleasure to be instructed by such a master. Just hearing the demonstrations was worth the price of admission. But at the end of the workshop, Carlo and Elena played a few impromptu selections with Charley and his musical partner Joe. It was a thrilling way to end our nice, relaxed, afternoon workshop; sharing music with fellow mandolin lovers.
