It was a warm summer night. Crafton’s open-air band shell has fine acoustics and a park full of people sat on lawn chairs eating fresh peaches and ice cream while children danced and swirled to our music. We were all at our best for this concert and it was our biggest audience of the year. What a glorious concert it was; Gary sang. Joan, Jason and Jim played in a small ensemble, Jenda soloed on drums, Ron conducted while Charley and Gordon a song on domras and Charley, Gordon and Norm played Csárdás together and we finished with several solos in Golden Slippers. What a great way to finish our summer concerts!
